Where did this come from?

     Dave has always thought that we would be more instructionally based

     Supporting schools in a more centralized model

     Conversations @ ILT were about savings because of budget cuts

     A broader group of people need be part of technology integration

     Pushing for technology dollars being used in buildings that have higher needs

     There are a lot more questions than answers @ this point

     Eliot hopes that we will create this together

     There are opportunites to build leadership

     If moving forward means less of a focus on 21st Century, then we are moving backward.....

Concern:  Technology/21st century is not mentioned on job description

Concern:  What does it look like for an instructional coach in a school that has new technology

Concern:  Schools that are program based with their instruction

Concern:  Who is in charge--The Office of Professional Learning or the principal

Concern/Question: Excited about coach in a building and supporting with resources. What happens to the other 25 buildings? How do we react to that?

Concern:  When does training come?   How are we going to come in ready to go?

Concern:  What is the vision of the district?  How is the 21st Century part articulated?  Are all the parties going to have the same understanding of the focus of the work?

Concern: Will there be an opportunity to talk to principals before we turn in this paperwork?

               Yes, there needs to be sometime

This coaching session will give you ideas about how the SMARTboard package can help you design a 21st Century classroom.  Features of the software and uses of the Senteo (clicker system) will be shared to help you learn how these tools can create an interactive, collaborative learning environment that support 21st Century skills for teaching and learning.
