Page 1: Consider these 4 habit of Mind and brainstorm ideas:
1. PERSISTING
Persevering on a task even though the resolution is not immediately known.
2. MANAGING IMPULSIVITY
Take your time. Think before you act. Remain calm, thoughtful, and deliberate.
3. LISTENING WITH UNDERSTANDING AND EMPATHY
Seek to understand others. Devote mental energy to another person's thoughts and ideas. Hold your own thoughts in abeyance so you can better perceive another person's point of view and emotions.
4. THINKING FLEXIBLY
Changing perspectives, generating new alternatives, considering opinions. Look at it another way!
Add a phrase or quote from Chapters 3 -4 that you would like to remember.
What would instruction look like and sound like if teachers were planning and teaching activities, content, and process with Habits of Mind (in mind?)
