"Meet n Greet" by coaches prior to the workshop. Drive by greeting at their school. Make sure they know there will be work time so they are thinking about their curriculum. Mention getting subs. Prebrief workshop (anticipatory set) Expectations recap: Food, time, breaks, follow-up
Hardware/Software Verbal confirmation hardware/software specs. Be aware of the state of equipment in their rooms and the ability to carry on the projects from the workshop. Check on classroom/lab configurations. Touch base with building tech contact
Check the Wiki to know who is coming from your schools and if they are coming alone or with a partner from the school.
Pre-schedule follow-up meetings if you have a lot of people coming to the workshop.
Time spent in the classrooms of the teachers ahead of the workshop helps us know the culture of their rooms so that we can better mirror their practices at the workshop.
